摘要：PURPOSE:To accelerate mutual switching between moving picture reproduction and still picture reproduction by equivalently forcing forcasting error data processed by a decoder with the aid of an exterior command to zero and providing a still picture reproducing means which reproduces the still picture. CONSTITUTION:When the still picture is requested to be reproduced, first a still picture reproduction instruction shown at a graphic (B) is supplied to a resampling circuit 25. At this time, the resampling circuit 25 resamples a frame pulse shown at a graphic (A) which is supplied from a frame pulse generator 24 and supplies a low level control command shown at a graphic (C) to a gate circuit 23. Then, when a gate is closed by the gate circuit 23, the new supply of the forcasting data to an adder 14 is cut. As the result of that, only the output of a forcasting circuit 15 is circularly outputted. Thus, when a CD-ROM6 recording the forcasting error data is reproduced, the still picture is reproduced by equivalently forcing the forcasting error data processed by the decoder 11 to zero.
