摘要:PURPOSE:To manufacture with high productivity the titled composite semipermeable membrane having excellent characteristics by heating a water-contg. substrate membrane in an aq. filler soln. of a low-volatile organic compd. to clog the pores, then coating a soln. of a semipermeable membrane-forming polymer, and volatilizing the solvent. CONSTITUTION:A water-contg. substrate membrane having a large fractional mol.wt. such as an ultrafiltration membrane is immersed in an aq. soln. contg. about 10-80wt% filler consisting of a water-soluble and low-volatile organic compd. such as 1,4-butanediol or lactic acid, and heated at >=about 40 deg.C, preferably >=about 60 deg.C. The membrane after said treatment is heated, as required to evaporate water so that said filler may be left in the fine pores of the substrate membrane to obtain a dried ultrafiltration membrane. Then an about 0.05- 10% soln. of sulfonated polysulfone, etc., a semipermeable membrane-forming polymer, is coated on the dried ultrafiltration membrane as the substrate membrane, the solvent is then volatilized to form a thin-film semipermeable membrane on the substrate, and a composite semipermeable membrane is obtained.
