摘要:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose hybridization assay probes, amplification primers, nucleic acid compositions and methods useful for detecting Borrelia nucleic acids; to disclose hybridization assay probes and amplification primers that selectively detect Lyme disease-associated Borrelia and distinguish those Borrelia from Borrelia hermsii; and to disclose other hybridization probes which selectively detect Borrelia hermsii and not Lyme disease-associated Borrelia. SOLUTION: The amplification oligonucleotides, helper oligonucleotides and hybridization assay probes of the present invention are originated from 16S and 23S rRNA of pathogenic Borrelia.
