摘要：PURPOSE:To execute visual inspection of an electrode part of a board accurately and in a short time without relying on hands. CONSTITUTION:An image of an electrode part of a board 7 being conveyed is picked up by cameras 11. An image processing device 31 takes in data on the image of the electrode part picked up, determines vertical and horizontal projection data thereof and determines an electrode to be inspected from the image data, on the basis of the projection data determined. Next, data on the image of each determined electrode to be inspected are binary-coded. Then, three inspection windows for the opposite end parts of the electrode and the central part thereof are set for the binary-coded data and the number of pixels in each inspection window is computed. The electrode is determined as defective when a difference between the image data adjacent vertically in the inspection window is found to be a reference value or above, as the result of computation, in the opposite end parts, of the electrode while it is determined as defective when the value of the area measured in the inspection window is found to be a reference of determination or above in the central part of the electrode.
